The Detail Period checkbox field allows you to indicate whether the column will be used when calculating data for Human Resources and Capital.
When checked, this option allows you to define the specific periods of data that comprise your budget year. This also allows for support of non-standard “year” configurations or for comparison scenarios between varying Book Codes (i.e. Actuals vs. Forecast periods).
Whenever an Input Definition is opened for input (and which also has Human Resources or Capital enabled):
• Any period with the Detail Period checkbox checked will be editable.
• Any period without the Detail Period checkbox checked will be read-only.
• Where no Detail Period columns specified on the Column Definition, the Human Resources tab will be read-only.
This field is not checked by default.
