The Copy Plan option on the Tools ribbon allows you to copy data from one Input Definition to another.
To copy one plan to another:
1. Select the Copy Plan option on the Tools ribbon. You will be presented with the Copy Plan screen:
2. Enter the Source:
a. Enter the name or select the Input Definition. A valid Input Definition name is required in this field.
b. Enter the label or select the source Book Code. A valid Book Code is required in this field.
c. Enter the Year of the plan. A valid year value is required in this field.
If any entered value in either the Source or Destination fields is invalid, you will receive the following warning:
3. Enter the Destination:
a. Enter the name or select the Input Definition. A valid Input Definition name is required in this field.
b. Enter the label or select the source Book Code. A valid Book Code is required in this field. The Book Code or the Year must be different otherwise you will receive the following warning message:
In addition, the Book Code must allow data input. If the Destination Book Code does not have the “Allow Input” option checkbox selected, you will receive the following warning message and you must change the setting on the Book Code screen:

c. Enter the Year of the plan. A valid year value is required in this field. The Book Code or the Year must be different otherwise you will receive the following warning message:
If any entered value in either the Source or Destination fields is invalid, you will receive the following warning:
4. Select the data to copy by checking one or more of the available Options:
You must select one or more of the options where that data exists on the source. If no data Options are selected you will receive the following warning:
5. Select the Copy button to copy the source plan to the target.
You must have licensed Prospero budgeting and reporting or budgeting-only, have permissions to manage Human Resources information, and have enabled the Human Resources option on your Input Definition to have access to HR Management and Calculation Task options.
