Planner Role

The Planner Role is created as part of the Prospero installation and has the following permissions by default:

Report Use Roles Permissions

Run Reports – When checked, this option indicates that any users assigned to the role can execute any report they have defined or which they have been granted rights via the Visibility option.

Drill down to transaction details – When checked, this option allows drill-down to view the underlying transactional detail on any report.

Publish Reports – When checked, this option allows the user to publish reports, which preserves any currently-run report for the period and data for which that report has been executed. The published report can then be re-run at any time, returning the same report data. For more information see Creating Published Reports.

View Published Reports – When checked, this option allows the user to run published reports to view them.

Annotate reports – When checked, this permission allows the user associated to the role to add annotations to reports.

Input User Roles

Input Data – This permission allows the user to input budgeting data using Input definitions and run Input Calc tasks. (Note: Where the user has read-only access the Input Calc task will be disabled.)

Note: Input User Role permissions apply only when Prospero Budgeting is licensed. For more information refer to the section on Prospero Licensing

Import/Export Roles

Import Data – This permission allows import of data to the Prospero system. For more information see the section on the Excel Import process.

Perform Integration – This permission allows integration functions between the Prospero system and any external GL system. For more information see the Data Integration process.

Permissions granted to the Planner Role can be modified and the Role can be deleted by any Administrator.

The Planner Role requires a Standard User license and any additional permissions available by holding that license level can be granted to the Role.

Note: The Planner Role is intended for use with the Prospero reporting and budgeting or budgeting-only product. Otherwise, the Planner Role has the same permissions and behaviors as the Launcher Role.
