The Tools ribbon contains many of the utilities designed to help you manage and view user activities in Prospero.
Select the Tools ribbon by clicking on the Tools tab.
Features on this ribbon include:
•Current Users List – An option to display the current active users logged in to the system
•Activity Log – An option to open an activity log which allows you to view routine system activity such as updates, deletions or additions to data or items within Prospero.
•Error Log – An option to open an error log of errors, messages and other events that may help troubleshoot any issues you may encounter using Prospero.
•Import Definitions – An option to allow import of Report Definitions (.PRXF) files previously exported from Prospero.
•Send a Message – An option that allows you to send a message to all users currently logged in to Prospero. (The message will appear as a pop-up on the user’s Prospero workspace.)
•Manage Locks – An option to allow you to manage and remove locks on Lines, Columns, Input, and Report Definitions to allow other users to access them.
•Resummarize – An option to allow you to re-summarize Tree-related data to verify that summary calculations are correct.
•Data Extract – An option which allows you to extract balance data from the Prospero database.
•Transaction Extract – A tool which allows you to extract transactional details from the Prospero database.
•Add year to calendar – An option which allows you to add a new Calendar year.
•Copy Plan – An option which allows you to copy data from one Input Definition to another Input Definition.
•HR Management – An option which allows you to opens the main repository of all employee IDs and information available for an Input Definition.
•Calculation Task – An option which allows you to recalculate all existing input data.
•Line Item Task – An option which allows you to calculate and summarize all existing line item data.
•HR Calculation Task – An option which allows you to recalculate all existing HR input data.
•Capital Calculation Task – An option which allows you to recalculate all existing Capital input data.
Most the Tools available in Prospero are intended for use by Administrator users, or Roles which have the permission to Manage Security.
